Unión Mezcal El Viejo is a bold and mature expression of artisanal Oaxacan mezcal, crafted with deep reverence for tradition and terroir. Distilled using a blend of wild Tobalá and cultivated Espadín agave, this mezcal is made in small batches by master mezcaleros using time-honored methods—stone-ground by tahona, naturally fermented in open-air wood vats, and double-distilled in copper stills. El Viejo ("The Old One") reflects wisdom and depth in every sip. It opens with a refined nose of charred agave, dried herbs, and subtle floral undertones. On the palate, it reveals a complex interplay of roasted agave, minerality, white pepper, cacao, and a touch of citrus zest.
